The box includes easy to follow instructions - just add melted butter, egg and 1 cup water for the perfect texture every time. Use the chocolate cake mix to create a wide range of desserts including loaf cakes, bundt cakes and cupcakes. It can even be kneaded into a dough for a scrumptious biscotti or cookies. Kosher. Directions

1 package Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix
¾ cup water
¾ cup butter, melted & cooled
1 large egg

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; blend well. Do not overmix; batter will be lumpy.
  2. Spread batter in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. Cool completely. Remove from pan and slice.

Makes about 11 servings.

High Altitude: Increase water by 2 tablespoons and add 1⁄3 cup flour. Bake at 325˚F for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Do not eat raw batter.

    Made a lighter version of this using 1/4 cup avocado oil and 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce instead of the butter. Came out amazing! Boys loved it and lower cholesterol for me.

    Best chocolate pound cake!!

    I absolutely love this chocolate pound cake!! I can’t make it often because it disappears so fast. To make it extra chocolatey I add a bag of chocolate chips to it. Oh my gosh!! And if that’s not enough chocolate, top with the Tastefully Simple chocolate fudge!! Death by chocolate!! ??????

    This was easy to make & came out delicious. When they say moist and chocolatey-they mean it! This is not heavy like a traditional pound cake. You need to try it.

    This cake was so easy to make, my 8 year old did it! We frosted it with peanut butter frosting and sprinkled with mini chocolate chips! It was delicious! Definitely buy again!

    Very Good Pound Cake

    We love this chocolate pound cake. We do like the Almond pound cake more but the chocolate is still very good and adding some almond extract to the recipe gives it such nice flavor and brings it to a close second to the almond cake.
