Ingredients
- 1 package Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™
- ¾ cup water
- ¾ cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 (16 ounce) container white frosting or frosting of choice
- Edible confetti sprinkles
Directions
- IMPORTANT: Our Pound Cake Formulas have changed. If your box has the maroon logo and NO egg in the preparation directions, follow the 2nd set of directions below.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine first 3 ingredients; blend well. Do not over mix; batter will be lumpy.
- Spread batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Slice cake in half horizontally. Place bottom half on a serving platter; frost top. Place top half on frosting. Frost top and sides of cake. Decorate as desired with confetti sprinkles.
- Makes 12 servings.
