Ingredients

  • 1 package Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (16 ounce) container white frosting or frosting of choice
  • Edible confetti sprinkles

Directions

  • IMPORTANT: Our Pound Cake Formulas have changed. If your box has the maroon logo and NO egg in the preparation directions, follow the 2nd set of directions below.
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine first 3 ingredients; blend well. Do not over mix; batter will be lumpy.
  2. Spread batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  3. Slice cake in half horizontally. Place bottom half on a serving platter; frost top. Place top half on frosting. Frost top and sides of cake. Decorate as desired with confetti sprinkles.
