  • Bayou Bourbon Beef Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 (8 ounce) package fresh sliced button mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • ½ cup Bayou Bourbon™ Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Onion™ Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Garlic™ Seasoning
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets

Directions

  1. In 3-quart or larger slow cooker, combine all ingredients except broccoli. Cook on LOW 6 hours.
  2. Stir in broccoli. Continue cooking until broccoli is tender, about 30 minutes.
  3. If desired, stir in an additional ¼ cup Bayou Bourbon Glaze before serving.
  • Makes 6 servings.
  • Serve over prepared rice, quinoa or noodles.
  • Make Ahead & Freeze: Combine step 1 ingredients in a gallon freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze with broccoli. Thaw completely. Continue with step 1.

    Loved it

    I would definitely make this again! I ended up doubling everything (except the mushrooms because only 2 of us like mushrooms) because of the size of my family. Then I cooked 2 cups of rice and mixed that in at the very end. I did end up making this on the stove instead of the crockpot because I forgot to do it in the morning.

    Very delicious but very over cooked

    GREAT taste but the directions for cooking were way too long. We used cubed stew meat and baked in the oven. After an only an hour at 350, meat was already over done. We will definitely be making this one again, but next time, I will probably cook it only for 45 minutes. You could also make a small amount of gravy out of the drippings. We used egg noodles.

    Great flavor. Not overally powerful but still full of flavor. Would make again, much healthier than takeout beef and broccoli.

    Best beef and broccoli with Bayou Bourbon

    You can't go wrong with meat and the Bayou Bourbon glaze. Served over brown rice and some biscuits. Was a hit with the whole family!

    AMAZING!

    One of the best things I have ever cooked in a slow cooker! Didn't freeze it beforehand. Just mixed it all together and put it in the cooker, minus the broccoli until the end. It really was delicious!!

    My family loved it!

    My family loved this dish - even my 7 yr old son. Had no problem using up the leftovers either because it was such a hit.

    Delicious!

    Full of flavor, my family and I loved it! Only thing is the beef was dry even after adding extra beef broth and bayou burbon sauce. I would defiantly make it again just cut the cook time almost in half.
