Personally, I prefer to roll in balls and bake when they’re half cooled I sprinkle the powder sugar on them using a sieve ?

    Chocolate Crackle Cookies

Just as I was rolling these into balls, I discovered I was out of powdered sugar. So instead, I sprinkled half of the balls with crystal sugar and with the other half put a maraschino cherry into the middle. Great results and saved myself a trip to the grocery store!
