These fun witchy hat cookies are perfect for a Halloween party. Make the cookies ahead and allow the kids to create and decorate their own witch hats.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (16 ounce) container white frosting
  • Food coloring
  • Assorted decorating sprinkles and candies
  • 30 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Directions

  • IMPORTANT: Our Pound Cake Formulas have changed. If your box has the maroon logo and NO egg in the preparation directions, follow the 2nd set of directions below.
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine first 3 ingredients; stir well to combine.
  2. Roll dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined large baking sheet, flatten slightly. Bake 13-15 minutes until set. Cool completely.
  3. Divide frosting into bowls and add food coloring as desired. Transfer to small storage bags; cut off corners to make ¼ inch openings. Pipe 1-inch circle of frosting on top of each cookie.
  4. Decorate as desired, topping each cookie with one chocolate kiss and sprinkles and/or candy to create the “buckle”. Store in an airtight container.

    Best Brownie-like Cookie Ever!

    These are my favorite cookies of all time, but with a twist! This recipe is super scrumptious as is, but it is even better without the icing and with a Caramel kiss instead of a regular kiss. Oh my word, they're irresistible!
