Ingredients

  • 1 (5 ounce) can no salt added albacore tuna, drained
  • 1 tablespoon diced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon diced celery
  • 3 pitted kalamata olives, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon Citrus Herb Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ ripe avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced
  • 4 grape tomatoes, cut in half

Directions

  1. In small bowl, combine first 8 ingredients. Gently toss to coat.
  2. Serve tuna salad over avocado slices and top with tomato halves.
  3. Sprinkle with a dash of Citrus Herb Seasoning to garnish, if desired.
  • Makes 1 serving.
  • Make Ahead: Prepare step 1 up to 1 day ahead; refrigerated, covered.

    Go-To Quick & Healthy Lunch

    If I’m ever in a pinch for what to make for lunch for myself I can always count on this tuna salad! It’s flavorful and healthy!!

    Nice change of taste for tuna salad

    We love tuna salad for lunch but the mayo version is boring. This citrus herb update is good - different -fun! Next time i'll use 1/2 teaspoon of the citrus herb though - it needed to be zingier to balance with the tuna.
