Ingredients
- 7 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2½ cups milk
- 2 tablespoons Simply Salsa™ Mix
- 2 cups shredded taco cheese blend
Directions
- Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble ground beef and Seasoned Salt until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes; drain. Set aside.
- In large saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook one minute whisking constantly. Gradually add in milk and Simply Salsa Mix; whisking constantly until smooth. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened and mixture comes to a boil.
- Blend in cheese; reduce heat to low and continue stirring until cheese is melted. Stir in pasta and ground beef. Cook until heated through, stirring frequently.
- Makes 6 servings.
