Ingredients
- 12 ounces frozen tater tots
- ½ pound 85% lean ground beef
- ⅓ cup water
- 1 tablespoon Mom's Favorite Taco Seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese, divided
- Taco toppings such as, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, crushed nacho tortilla chips, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray an 8-inch round baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer in the bottom of the pan. Carefully place in oven and bake 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble ground beef until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes, drain. Stir in water and Mom’s Favorite Taco Seasoning. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
- Carefully remove pan from oven and flatten tater tots with a spatula, pressing up sides to create a crust. Top with taco meat and ½ cup cheese. Carefully return to oven and bake 10 minutes.
- Carefully remove from oven and top with your favorite taco toppings and remaining ½ cup cheese.
- Makes 4 servings.
