This lemon cake is delicate and bold at the same time. The lemon-flavored cake speckled with real bits of lemon peel is complemented by a tangy lemon icing.
It's so simple to make, just mix and bake! You will find simple, step by step instructions on every pack. All you need is water, butter and an egg.

How to Make Sunny Lemon™ Pound Cake
Directions
1 package Sunny Lemon™ Pound Cake & Icing Mix
¾ cup + 1 tablespoon water, divided
½ cup + 2 tablespoons butter, melted & cooled, divided
1 large egg, beaten
1. Preheat oven to 325°F. In large bowl, combine Packet 1, ¾ cup water and ½ cup melted butter and egg; blend well. Do not overmix; batter will be lumpy.
2. Spread batter into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely. Remove from pan.
3. In small bowl, combine Packet 2 with remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter and 1 tablespoon water; whisk until smooth. Drizzle over top and sides of pound cake. Makes about 11 servings.
High Altitude: Increase water in cake by 2 tablespoons and add 1/3 cup flour. Bake at 325˚F for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Use ½ cup plain Greek yogurt in place of butter in cake. To prepare icing, combine Packet 2 with 1 tablespoon water.
Do not eat raw batter.

How disappointing. Very little lemon flavor. Instead it tastes like too much baking soda was used. This item should be pulled until you figure out how to fix the recipe.

I'm surprised to see so many recent bad reviews! This was delicious!! It isnt as luscious as a typical poundcake. To me, Starbucks has my favorite lemon cake, and this didnt quite measure up...I'd give it an 8 out of 10. The icing is perfect...that sugary cherry on top. It's so easy to make & recipes are endless. A must buy if you're a lemon lover.
The flavor of the lemon pound cake was flat. Not lemony at all. I’m disappointed
The cake is light and not overpowering with lemon flavor. Nothing taste artificial about it. I was very excited as well when I tasted the icing and it had a hint of lemon added to it.
As a previous tastefully simple consultant from 2008 through 2016 I was let down by this lemon cake. I was so looking forward to that lemony flavor with that moist cake. I didn’t get that with this product. Although I followed directions and even baked it for five minutes less than the full baking time suggested, it was very dry. So sad.
I ordered this based on the reviews. The texture was not what I would consider a pound cake and the lemon flavor was not apparent. I have been disappointed in both items I have tried. For the price I expected better items and flavors.
Cake was dry, frosting not good; Sorry, but would never buy this again.
