I made some strawberries for strawberry shortcake and had an Almond Pound Cake mix in the cupboard, so I made that instead of buying the shortcake cups you get at the store. My husband has announced that this is his all time favorite way to have strawberries and keeps wanting me to make another batch of strawberries and pound cake. He refuses to eat any other cake with his strawberries. It truly is scrumptious.

Love to use it for shortcake. No too soggy, not too stiff, just right consistency.

My family LOVES this pound cake. I put 1/2 the dough in the bottom of the loaf pan and put a ribbon of Rhubarb Strawberry Spread on and then cover with the remaining 1/2 of the dough on top and bake it according to the directions on the box. It is amazing with the jam in the middle!!!

I purchased the almond poundcake. Because it's a tasting party it was scrumptious! I was extremely tired but I thought I could make it and stay awake. The cook time is about 50 to 55 minutes. I actually had it in the oven for two hours. When I took it out -after I finally woke up- inside was still delightfully moist. It wasn't burned although the outside crust was baked extra good. So I made another one the next night and it was divine! I bake from scratch. But this was just as good if not better than sound made from scratch cakes and definitely a lot less time!

Excellent and so easy just add fresh berries and whip up some cream for a delicious treat.
